THE Robert Presley Choral Scholarship Programme offers a unique opportunity on the London scene to develop a high standard of ensemble singing in a lively, stimulating, and supportive environment.
In 2013, the first scholarship was set up in Robert Presley's name, as a living memorial. Every year, a number of Presley Scholarships are awarded to our best-auditioning applicants. Together, they form the Choral Scholars of St John's Church, Fulham, an ensemble of eight singers, usually students and graduates of London's conservatoires and universities.
We look for people passionate about a wide range of repertoire (both sacred and secular), excellent musicians, and natural team workers.
Ideal candidates will be confident sight-readers with some experience of choral singing and a good sense of humour; experience of church music is useful but not essential.
We welcome applications from students in Higher Education, recent graduates, young professionals.
